Fun Spots for your Bachelorette Weekend

Bachelorette parties have changed tremendously since the age of social media. The days of fun little lingerie parties at someone's house with boxed wine and chocolate covered strawberries are OVER. Now the maid of honor is expected to plan a legendary destination weekend full of matching t shirts, coordinated outfits, hashtags and shout outs by bands. Have no fear, foxes. I am hear to help guide you to planning a bachelorette weekend that will be a slam dunk.

Charleston- Charleston is best for a bride that loves southern charm and is a foodie. If this is your girl, take a city- wide culinary tour. If you are still hungry after that, go to Minero and fill up on tacos and margaritas. Looking for a beach day? You must visit Folly Beach and walk on the pier that stretches 1000 feet into the ocean. Folly Beach is also home of the Morris Island Lighthouse. Try to stay at The Mills House. This is the perfect backdrop for your photos with its iconic pink exterior. For night life, scoot on over to NV Dance lounge. Charleston really does have it all.

New Orleans- Hand Grenades, Hurricanes, beignets, oh my! New Orleans, so full of history and culture and the legendary Bourbon Street. Stay at the Four Points by Sheraton in the French Quarter. This will keep you right on Bourbon Street and the hotel is so easy to find after your nightly adventures. Start off early with the tourist spot, Café Du Monde and fuel up on beignets and coffee. Do not miss walking around Jackson Square and checking out each and every street vendor. There is some really cool stuff

there. For dinner, Commander’s Palace is a must. Located in the Garden District, this turquoise restaurant doesn’t just stand out because of it’s bold color. The food is to die for and the drinks are scrumptious. After dinner, mosey on over to Pat O’s for dueling pianos, traditional hurricanes and the best patio in the city. Now on to Bourbon Street. A love/hate place, just have plenty of hand grenades and you will love this street but then when you wake up in the morning you will curse its name. For a more low key night on your second day, check out Haunted History tours. There are Haunted Pub Crawls and Cemetery tours. This will be a trip for the books!

Austin- This hot spot would be perfect for a bachelorette weekend. Rainey Street is THE spot for day drinking and outdoor eating. Find Gourdough’s Donut truck for some truly divine creations. While we are on the subject of food……BBQ. You cannot leave Austin without trying some Texas Barbecue. The votes are in and most people suggest Cooper’s Old Time Pit BBQ. Fantastic food without the three our long line. For night one, go sing karaoke at Highball Karaoke Room. Save up your strength for the big night- Dirty 6th Street. Start out a Maggie Mae’s and see where you end up.

Napa Valley- For a bride who loves her wine. This trip will be a laid-back weekend with the girls. Airbnb is the way to go for Napa. A fun wine tour can run you about $125- $150 a girl. And for you boojee brides, there are a couple of hot air balloon tours. Be sure to check out Torc located downtown Napa for dinner and drinks.
